YASD 

Yet Another Sad/Strange/Stupid Death - usually in a title of a post that describes some kind of death event

YAVP 

Yet Another Victory Post - a post that describes your successful completion of the game

RL 

Roguelike

RNG 

Random Number Generator. Also called Random Number God. He is the one that fails you at the most inconvenient of times.

Shotgun

SSG 

Super Shotgun - named Double Shotgun in DoomRL

RL 

Rocket Launcher - not to be confused with RogueLike

BFG 

never officially demangled by Doom authors, in the Doom Movie it standed for Bio-Force Gun, but DoomRL author much prefers the semi-official "Big F***ing Gun"

PD 

Phase Device

Yet Another Dead Cyberdemon - DoomRL specific YAVP (see above)

YAAM 

Yet Another Ass-kicking Marine - YAVP with 100% killed demons.

YAWC 

Yet Another Whimpy Chump - Less than 10% of enemies killed.

Not really abbreviations or acronyms, but used a lot.

Thermie 

Thermonuclear Device

Shottie/Shotty 

Shotgun. Can come with any adjective (eg double shotty)

Pinkies 

Demons. Got their name because they were pink in the original Doom

Baron/s of Hell

HK

Hell Knight
