This is a technical list of all the traits and what they do, just in case the trait selection screen isn't good enough for you.
All effects are per level (so that Ironman(3) will give 30 additional HPs), unless said otherwise.

[edit] Basic Traits
All basic traits can be picked from the start, IE they don't require anything.
[edit] Ironman
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: Your max health and current health are increased by 10 (you start with 50).
[edit] Finesse
Unlocks: Juggler (rank 1), Whizkid (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 2
Effect: Firing time of ranged weapons is decreased by 15%.
[edit] Hellrunner
Unlocks: Dodgemaster (Rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 2
Effect: Movement time is reduced by 10%, and your chance to dodge during a turn spent moving is increased by 10%.
[edit] Tough as Nails
Unlocks: Badass (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: Armor is increased by 1 (stacks with all other sources of armor).

Unlocks: Triggerhappy (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: 1 extra damage is dealt per bullet fired. Works with Melee weapons, shotguns, overcharged BFGs, you name it.

Unlocks: Dualgunner (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: Pistol firing time is reduced by 20% and pistols do 1 more damage per shot (effects stack with Finesse and SoaB, respectively).

Unlocks: Shottyman (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: Reload time of all weapons is reduced by 20%.

Unlocks: Intuition (rank 2)
Effect: Increases your chance to hit by 2 points.
[edit] Brute
Unlocks: Berserker (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Effect: Melee attacks gain 3 damage per hit and 2 chance to hit.

[edit] Juggler
Requires: Finesse(1)
Max. Ranks: 1
Effect: Swapping prepared weapons takes no time.
[edit] Berserker
Requires: Brute(2)
Max. Ranks: 1
Effect: A successful melee hit grants a chance of going berserk. The chance is 5 + (2 * damage done / 5)%, but only applies if you do at least 9 damage and there is at least one monster remaining visible. When the check is passed, 20 turns are added to the berserk counter, regardless of difficulty level.
[edit] Dualgunner
Requires: Son of a Gun(2)
Max. Ranks: 1
Effect: Allows 2 pistols to be fired at once (you must have the second in your prepared slot), at 120% of the normal firing time. If wielded pistols have different firing speeds, the mean is used before multiplication. Allows to reload weapons in both hands at once by Alt Reloading.

Max. Ranks: 1
Effect: The first sidestep/dodge in a given turn automatically succeeds.
[edit] Intuition
Requires: Eagle Eye(2)
Max. Ranks: 2
Effect: Intuition(1) - levers are tagged by general effect (beneficial, neutral or dangerous), and the locations and types of powerups are known to you. Intuition(2) - same as Intuition(1), plus enemies outside your LOS are "seen" as red dots. Levers are now tagged by their exact effect.

Requires: Finesse(2)
Max Ranks: 2
Effect: Increases the number of available weapon mod slots by 2 per level and armor mod slots by 1 per level.
[edit] Badass
Requires: Tough as Nails(2)
Max. Ranks: 1
Effect: Stops all Health Decay above 100%. Reduces knockback.
- Without this trait : -1 HP every 5 seconds.
[edit] Shottyman
Requires: Reloader(2)
Max. ranks: 1
Effect: All shotguns can be reloaded by a move action. If you reload while moving instead of standing still, you still get a dodge bonus.
[edit] Triggerhappy
Requires: Son of a Bitch (2)
Max. Ranks: 2
Effect: Gives an extra shot for multiple shot weapons. Does not work with Pancor Jackhammer or Double Shotgun, but works with all non-shotguns.
[edit] Master Traits
If you pick a Blocked trait before choosing a Master Trait, then you become unable to select a Master Trait, even if you have the Requirements.
All Master Traits have 1 rank.
[edit] Blademaster
Requires: Hellrunner(2), Brute(3), Berserker(1)
Blocks: Tough as Nails, Son of a Gun, Son of a Bitch [Dualgunner, Badass, Triggerhappy, Vampyre, Army of the Dead, Fireangel, Gun Kata, Ammochain, Cateye]
Effect: Whenever you kill an opponent in Melee, it acts if it took 0s to kill them. (However, you lose any spare energy; energy is set to 5001.)

Requires: Berserker(1), Badass(1) [Brute(2), Tough as Nails(2)]
Blocks: Hellrunner, Son of a Bitch, Eagle Eye [Dodgemaster, Intuition, Triggerhappy, Blademaster, Gun Kata, Ammochain, Cateye]
Effect: You gain +3 hp (6% without Ironman) per enemy you kill up to 200%.

Requires: Badass(1), Shottyman(1) [Tough as Nails(2), Reloader(2)]
Blocks: Finesse, Hellrunner, Eagle Eye [Juggler, Dodgemaster, Intuition, Whizkid, Blademaster, Fireangel, Gun Kata, Ammochain, Cateye]
Effect: Shotguns become armor-piercing if they were physical damage before.

Requires: Dodgemaster(1), Shottyman(1), [Hellrunner(2), Reloader(2)]
Blocks: Hellrunner, Son of a Bitch, Son of a Gun [Dualgunner, Dodgemaster, Triggerhappy, Blademaster, Army of the Dead, Gun Kata, Ammochain, Cateye]
Effect: You become immune to Blast Damage.

Requires: Dualgunner(1), Dodgemaster(1) [Son of a Gun(2), Hellrunner(2)]
Blocks: Tough as Nails, Son of a Bitch, Brute [Berserker, Badass, Triggerhappy, Blademaster, Vampyre, Army of the Dead, Fireangel, Ammochain, Cateye]
Effect: After each successful dodge, you shoot your pistols in almost no time (1/10 normal delay). When you kill an enemy, your pistols reload. This is a special reload; watch out for uniques like Trigun, at least in 0.9.9 (fixed in the next beta).

Requires: Whizkid(1), Triggerhappy(1) [Finesse(2), Son of a Bitch(2)]
Blocks: Tough as Nails, Son of a Gun, Eagle Eye [Dualgunner, Intuition, Badass, Blademaster, Vampyre, Army of the Dead, Fireangel, Gun Kata, Cateye]
Effect: You never run out of ammo for the Chaingun, Minigun, Plasma Rifle. Beretta, and BFG10K. If you are out of ammo for these weapons when you gain the trait, you can still fire them.

Effect: Gain 2 extra vision range.
